Privacy Policy
How personal data is handled on the public Usun.ee site, donation form and payment flow.
Controller and contact
The controller is USUN MTÜ, registry code 80672305. Questions about privacy, donations and payments can be sent to usun@usun.ee. The public site is used to introduce the portal, collect cooperation interest, enable support and share information related to support.
- public contact and complaint channel: usun@usun.ee;
- a phone number is not published as a separate public support channel; we use written support so payment and privacy requests remain traceable;
- official registry data can be checked in the Estonian Business Register.
What data we process
When you contact us by email, contact form, cooperation request, donation form or the recurring-support self-service, the processed data may include name, email address, phone number, message content, consent/timestamp, donation amount, frequency, selected recurring-payment duration, verification-code timestamp and payment technical status. To prevent abuse, we may also process keyed hashes of the IP address and user agent.
- visiting the public site does not create a user account;
- contact-form messages are stored and handled only in a secure admin environment;
- payment-card data is entered on a hosted payment page of LHV/SumUp or another payment service provider; USUN MTÜ does not store or see the full card number, CVC code or 3DS authentication data;
- for recurring payments, the application stores only the payment provider’s tokenized reference status/fingerprint and never exposes raw card tokens in public or admin responses;
- stored contact messages, donation records and payment-status events are visible only in restricted admin views according to role.
Purposes, legal basis and retention
Data is used to respond to requests, organize cooperation, handle support and fulfil legal obligations. Contact-form messages are retained by default for up to 365 days, after which they are reviewed and deleted. Accounting data is retained for the period required by law.
- responding to requests and legitimate interest in maintaining necessary communication;
- legal obligation for support payments and accounting;
- consent-based cookie preferences only when the user allows them.
Payment intermediaries and recipients
For card, wallet and bank payments, the donor may be redirected to the payment service provider’s environment. The payment intermediaries named on the website are AS LHV Pank / LHV Paytech payment environment and, where needed, SumUp EU Payments UAB. The payment provider processes payment data under its own terms and privacy rules; USUN MTÜ uses the payment status, reference and limited audit information received from the provider to manage the donation.
- card security checks, 3DS/SCA and wallet authentication take place in the payment provider’s environment;
- the website does not ask for or store full card numbers, CVC codes or internet-bank passwords;
- handling a payment dispute, refund or accounting document may require retaining the payment reference, amount, currency, time and provider status.
Rights and requests
You have the right to request access to your data, ask for inaccurate data to be corrected, object to processing, request an exportable copy or request deletion where the law does not require retention. Questions and deletion/export requests can be sent to usun@usun.ee. If you believe data is processed incorrectly, you may contact the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.
Terms of use
The information on the Usun.ee website is for general information. The platform may refer to materials by churches, organizations or content creators; external content remains the responsibility of its publisher.
Security
- The website uses HTTPS and modern security settings where possible.
- The page does not ask for user accounts or passwords.
- If you notice a security vulnerability, please report it to usun@usun.ee.
Copyright
The rights to Usun.ee text, design and structure belong to USUN MTÜ, unless stated otherwise.
Donations and support
Support is possible through the public donation form or by bank transfer using the payment details. Before confirming payment, the donor sees the amount, terms and the payment provider view.
Donations are used to develop the Usun.ee platform, content work, organizing church information, communication and managing the initiative. For refund or payment questions, write to usun@usun.ee.
For bank-transfer donations, we process payment-related data to the extent required for accounting and legal obligations.
Support Terms
How supporting Usun.ee, one-time support, recurring support, payment intermediaries, cancellation, refunds and tax information work.
Recipient and purpose of support
The recipient is USUN MTÜ, registry code 80672305. Support payments help develop the Usun.ee portal, organize content, maintain the technical platform and improve the visibility of Christian churches and organizations. This is a voluntary donation for the visibility of public Christian information, not the purchase of goods or a digital service. The public LHV account shown on the site is EE937700771012927523.
- public contact for questions about support, refunds or complaints: usun@usun.ee;
- the support currency is euro (EUR), and the final support amount is shown before payment confirmation;
- support does not include a physical or digital product, delivery, shipping, fulfilment or a normal e-commerce product-return process;
- support does not automatically grant access to a separate paid service, membership or counter-performance unless this is separately stated in writing next to the support option.
Choosing and paying support
The supporter chooses the amount and frequency on the public form. The available options are one-time support or monthly recurring support. Before paying, the supporter must agree to the support terms and privacy policy. Payment takes place in a hosted environment of the payment service provider, and after the payment attempt the supporter is redirected back to a Usun.ee notification page.
- one-time support is debited once in the selected amount;
- for monthly recurring support, the supporter chooses either a 12-month duration or a specific end date;
- the exact availability of card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank payments depends on the payment intermediary account settings;
- 3DS/SCA security checks and card-data entry take place in the payment service provider’s environment, not on the Usun.ee page.
Monthly recurring support and card-storage consent
Monthly recurring support uses LHV’s card-based tokenized payment flow when it is active. The first payment is initiated by the supporter, and future monthly payments can take place only if card storage / reuse consent is given on the LHV payment page. If this consent is not selected on the payment page, the first payment may succeed but recurring support will not be activated.
- the recurring-support interval is once per month;
- the next payment is scheduled approximately one month after successful activation;
- a failed recurring payment is marked for review or as overdue and is not automatically treated as a successful donation;
- the normal way to stop and manage future payments is the self-service page /en/my-support, where the supporter verifies the donation-related email or phone with a one-time code;
- usun@usun.ee remains the fallback support channel if the verification code does not arrive, the supporter no longer controls the original contact or the case requires manual review;
- recurring support can be stopped on the /en/my-support page before the next payment is made.
Tax benefit and Estonian Tax and Customs Board information
A private person’s income-tax benefit depends on whether the recipient is on the list of associations eligible for income-tax incentives at the time of the donation and whether the donor data and donation proof are sufficient for the tax declaration. USUN MTÜ does not promise an automatic tax benefit; if the tax benefit is important to the donor, the current status must be checked through the Estonian Tax and Customs Board before donating.
- the Estonian Tax and Customs Board explains taxation of gifts and donations in its private- and business-client guidance;
- if the tax benefit is important to the donor, check the current status of the Tax and Customs Board and the list of associations with income-tax incentives before donating;
- for anonymous or incomplete donor data, pre-filling the tax declaration or proving the donation may not be possible.
Confirmation, receipt and accounting
After the payment attempt, the Usun.ee return page shows a user-friendly status, but the final payment status is confirmed according to the payment provider’s server-side status. If an email address has been provided and the email/receipt workflow is active, USUN MTÜ may send a confirmation or clarification related to the donation. For accounting, the necessary payment reference, amount, currency, time, status and provider proof are retained.
- accounting source documents are retained for 7 years from the end of the relevant financial year unless the law requires otherwise;
- the final payment status is confirmed based on the payment service provider’s data;
- USUN MTÜ does not store full card numbers, CVC codes or internet-bank passwords.
Cancellation, refund and mistaken payment
A donation is voluntary support, not a product purchase. Therefore it does not have a normal product-return, shipping or delivery process. Stopping recurring support on the /en/my-support page stops future payments but does not automatically cancel an already successful payment. For an accidental duplicate payment, wrong amount or another payment that needs correction, write to usun@usun.ee and, if possible, include the payment date, amount and explanation.
- a refund or correction depends on the payment type, payment intermediary status, whether the donation has already been used and accounting requirements;
- a card-payment dispute or chargeback is handled together with the payment intermediary process;
- self-service cancellation of recurring support stops future payments; refunds of already successful earlier payments are reviewed separately;
- the normal 14-day e-commerce product withdrawal right is not treated here as a product return, because a donation does not buy a product or order delivery.
Payment intermediaries and security
The website names AS LHV Pank / LHV Paytech payment environment and, where needed, SumUp EU Payments UAB as payment intermediaries. Payment takes place in the intermediary’s environment, where the provider’s security, 3DS/SCA and card-scheme requirements apply. USUN MTÜ uses the payment status, reference and limited audit information received from the intermediary but does not process raw card data.
- card and wallet payments are shown to the donor before confirmation together with the amount and terms;
- the payment description is “Support for developing Usun.ee” or an equivalent short description set in the admin;
- if the payment intermediary or bank shows an additional risk check, it must be completed according to the intermediary’s instructions.
